George Boswell and his wife
Description
An account of the resource
George Boswell and his wife Sophia lived their lives in the Moreland area, having married in October 1874 and raising 11 children. A son, Steve, lived only to his teenage years; but 10 other children provided a total of 88 grandchildren. Their other children included Ben, Washington, Jim, Will, Joe, Quig, Mattie, Lela, Ruth and Rosa. The photo was provided by their granddaughter, Mozelle Gray. George Boswell lived until April 1944, and Mrs. Boswell until July 1961.

An account of the resource
These young ladies were photographed about 1910 in Coweta County. They are the daughters of George W. and Sophia Boswell, early settlers of Moreland. Rosa Boswell Yeager is standing at left, and Ruth Boswell Gray, right. Rosa lived around Moreland all her life. The Yeager children include James Yeager, of Massachusetts; Sam Yeager, Richard Yeager, Ms. Lillian Yeager, Geneva Yeager Harris and Sue Yeager Hinton, all of the Coweta County area. Ruth Boswell Gray lived in East Newnan, Grantville and Moreland at various times. She is the mother of Ms. Mozelle Gray, Quig Gray and Ms. Hazel Gray.
