This photo shows Peek's Crossing, one of several train "whistle stops" located throughout Coweta County. Train passengers waved the trains to a stop at the little stations. World War II soldiers remember boarding the train at Peek's Crossing as the left the communities of Turin and Standing Rock for service in the Army. Mildred Brown Mann is picture neat the Peek's Crossing Station, which was located directly across the road from what is now East Coweta High School.
