Frances "Fannie" Bell Carmichael (1784-1874) was among the earliest settlers in Coweta County. She was born in Newberry, South Carolina, and is buried in White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church near Moreland. The original of this picture was a tintype. She married Arthur Carmichael. Their children - most of them early Coweta settlers - were John Carmichael, married Mary (last name unknown). Mary Elizabeth Carmichael, married James Thompson; Abram Carmichael, married 1st Sarah "Sallie" Banks and 2nd Jane Young "Jennie" Carmichael; Arthur Carmichael, married Elizabeth Cox; Mary Ann Carmichael, married Samuel H. Walker, Sr.l Patrick Carmichael, married Mary Ann Washington Speer; Robert Carmichael, married Margaret Harriet Spruel; and William Wesley Carmichael, married Margaret Ann "Peggy" Leslie.
