This picture was taken of the Grantville High School senior class before graduation May 26, 1947. Members of the class included, from left, front, Mary King Sellers, Bernice Johnson, Rosa Pearl Thornton, Charline Plant, Jacqueline Pate, Geneva Yeager, Barbara Joe Wile; back, Gus Vining, Lefis Portwood, Kenneth Hawk and Roy Adams. Not picture is Jean Justiss. After graduation, Principal Thomas Glanton took the class to Washington, D.C., and New York. Others on the trip were Christine Nall, Sharon Glanton and the school bus driver.
