These Coweta County citizens of the 1890's are the ancestors of quite a number of present-day Coweta County residents. This group photograph includes, from left, front, Amelia Smith Sewell, Jaspar Newton Sewell with Curtis Jones being the young boy standing in front of Jasper Newton Sewell, J.B. "Sam" Edwards, Ella Amelia Sewell Edwards holding baby Margarie Edwards and Dr. William Reese Edwards; second row, John Jones with Eura Jones in his arms, Sallie Sewell Jones, Lucy Sewell Shackelford, Johnnie Edwards (Mrs. John Doster) and Dee Edwards (Mrs. Kirby Starr). The photo was contributed by Doris Doster Cranford, the granddaughter of Dr. William Reese Edwards and Ella Amelia Sewell Edwards. Mrs. Cranford's son, Dr. Clifford; A.Cranford, Jr., a member of the PAPP Clinic, still has the medical saddle bag used by his great grandfather, Dr. Edwards, as he practiced medicine on horseback.
