The McClelland Academy is no longer standing, but it was located on Duncan Street in Newnan across for the current Duncan Street swimming pool. Class groups from McClelland have been featured before in Coweta County Remembered and this group is the class of 1930. In the photo are, from left, seated, Eula Pearl Williams (Norwood), Minnie L. Johnson (Wilcoxson), Oneta Howard; standing, Nettie Sue Terrell, Nicie A. Sims, the Rev. Franklin Gregg, principal, Florence Osborne and Rosa Lee Stargell (Nalls). The names in parentheses are the women's married names.
