Description
This photograph of the William L. Crowder home was made in fall of 1898. The adults seated in front are, left to right, Bud Watts, William Leonard Crowder and Sophia Wortham Crowder. The children standing behind them are, left to right, Mary Elizabeth Crowder, Hendrix Crowder, Jack Crodwer, Theo Atkinson Crowder and William Buel Crowder. Mark Crowder is in white, standing by his mother. At the far right is "Uncle Hugh" Wortham, He cared for Sophia Crowder and her siblings when their father went to fight in the Civil War.
