Pictured in her wedding gown is Annie Ruth Boynton upon her marriage in the early 1900s to Robert Watson. Mrs. Watson was the aunt of Mrs. Barney (Ruth Boynton) Boers. The gown and hat were made by Mrs. William (Sallie Sewell) Copeland, daughter of Pierce and Elizabeth Rainwater Sewell, early settlers of the Roscoe community. The photo is provided by Elizabeth Allen Beers, Mrs. Copeland's granddaughter, Mrs. Copeland was an accomplished seamstress whose specialties were graduation dresses and wedding gowns. Many of her descendants inherited her talent and continue to sew a fine seam today, Mrs. Beers said.
